Global Search
Basis
Global Search is panel that allows or quick finding any element in the Force. Commands, Options from Preferences, GameObjects, Scenes can be found here.
To open Global Search press Ctrl+F. Or you can open it using Menu Bar -> Window -> Panels -> Tools -> Global Search.
By clicking on Settings Button Global Search popup shows up:
All settings here are primitive. Each group of control are separated by Separator. You can specify how find elements by choosing All, By Group or By Name. Also you can specify where exactly find elements by choosing specified option (e.g in MenuBar, Preferences).
To find Game Objects from Scenes you can set Search In Explorer as active. By choosing Only Main Scene Game Objects will be searched only from main editable scene.
Searching
To find something enter anything in search box. Or as Tip says you can enter #all command to find all commands available in Force.
By right clicking on element, command popup shows up. There you can execute command or copy its properties.
